Why Mike Brasovan is running for Congress

I want to serve the citizens of western Tarrant, Parker and Wise counties by providing the leadership and problem-solving initiative needed to meet the challenges facing our nation. For too long and on too many issues - such as Social Security, the economy, immigration reform, the right to life and healthcare - the Republican Party has not been leading. This has to change, and sending the same people back to Washington will not bring this about. We need to apply proven, conservative principles to develop real solutions for the problems facing America today.

My goal for this site is that it will give you the information you need to make a truly informed decision about who you want your next representative to be in Congress. I hope that after you learn more about me and what I stand for, I will have earned your vote in both the March 2, 2010, Republican Primary and the November general election.

Why Run Against Granger?

There are some out there that feel that Granger is fairly conservative so why would I want to run against her? It's a fair question that deserves an answer.

During her tenure, the vast majority of which saw the Republican Party controlling Congress and the White House:

  • The size of the federal government ballooned
  • The Medicare crisis deepened with more entitlement spending
  • Bankruptcy continued to loom over Social Security
  • Granger has not addressed the ever growing problem of illegal immigration and immigration reform
